Come and have lunch with local author, Karen Cotton, who will be on hand to answer questions about her new children’s chapter book, Carol and Santa. She will also answer any questions about publishing or writing that you may have. A book signing will follow the lunch. Her friend Santa will be on hand to listen to last minute Christmas wishes of the kids of Laramie County, and for photos that parents can feel free to take of their kids on their cell phones. Lunch includes everything on the Red Lobster menu that is paid separately. This is a non-ticketed event. It is free. Red Lobster manager Chris Ginete asks that patrons RSVP by Nov. 30 to get an official headcount, so he can set up the tables accordingly. People can also bring an unwrapped gift for Toys For Tots. There will be gift baskets raffled off at this event and proceeds of the raffle will also go to Toys for Tots. Gift baskets will include books of your favorite local and regional authors like Josh Walker and Steven Bates. As well as other local prizes.
Santa was at Red Lobster with me on Dec. 1 and Barnes and Noble Cheyenne on Dec. 2 and those signings were a great success.
If you’d like to come out and see me I will be at Flydragon Art Studio in downtown Cheyenne on Dec. 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the Art Walk. You can ask my publishing questions, or about my book and upcoming movie project. I will be signing copies of Carol and Santa. You can purchase them at the studio when I’m there or ahead of time at Barnes and Noble of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Santa won’t be able to make it to this signing.
However, he will be at a brand new singing on Dec. 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Nagle Warren Mansion for a Christmas tea.
You must make reservations in advance. The tea is for adults and children age seven and up.
The book launch for my new non-fiction children’s book, “K-9 & Deputy Heroes of the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department,” will be on June 6 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Laramie County Library. It will include a demonstration by deputies and their K-9 partners from the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department. I will also be speaking about my book. The deputies will also sign the book. I will have my book editor and graphic designer on hand, too, if you have any questions for them. City Newsstand will have books for sale. Cover price is $18.95 because it is hard cover. Ten percent of proceeds go to the Laramie County Library Foundation and part of the proceeds of the book sales go to the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 Unit Program. Books can also be pre-ordered at City Newsstand 1722 Carey Avenue 307-638-8671.
